Bullet Train in Udaipur as City of Lakes Gets Included in the Delhi Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor
Udaipur, July 9, 2026 | Travel and Rail Updates from Udaipur: The Central Government is preparing to transform New Delhi into the country's larget Bullet Train hub. With this in mind, the Mumbai Ahmebadad Bullet Train Corridor will be extended till Delhi and Udaipur will be a part of the Bullet Train track.
Following the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, the central government is now focusing on the national capital, Delhi. Under this initiative, high speed rail corridors will be developed extending from Delhi in all the four major directions. These include the Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad, Delhi-Lucknow-Varanasi, Delhi-Varanasi-Siliguri, and Delhi-Amritsar-Jammu bullet train corridors.
Delhi-Jaipur-Udaipur-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor
This high-speed rail corridor, connecting Delhi to Rajasthan and Gujarat, is a priority for the government. Spanning approximately 886 kilometers, the route will provide high-speed connectivity between Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, and Ahmedabad.
Stations on This Route
Dwarka, Bijwasan, Gurugram, Manesar, Rewari, Neemrana, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, and Ahmedabad. This corridor will eventually link with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train line, enabling high-speed rail travel between Delhi and Mumbai. Currently, the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is ready, and the project awaits approval.
