March 22, 2025 - Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has said that the introduction of new trains is a continuous and dynamic process based on operational feasibility and requests received from public representatives and stakeholders. He was saying this in response to a question raised in the Rajya Sabha by Member of Parliament (MP) Digvijaya Singh regarding the availability of a direct rail service from Bhopal to Nathdwara, Udaipur.

Proposals and demands for new train services are reviewed and action is taken if they are found to be justified based on operational feasibility and demand, the Minister addd.

Currently, two pairs of trains operate on the Bhopal–Chanderia/Chittorgarh railway route. Train numbers 19712/19711, Bhopal–Jaipur Express and 22175/22176 Nagpur–Jaipur Express pass through Chanderia/Chittorgarh railway stations.

Passengers can reach Nathdwara from Chanderia/Chittorgarh stations.

Train number 19575/19576 Okha–Nathdwara Express provides a connecting rail service from Chittorgarh to Nathdwara.
