Train ticket cancellation has become an easier job. You can cancel your train tickets conveniently online.

Indian Railways has amended its cancellations systems. This amendment will be applicable on tickets booked online as well as those booked on ticket counter at railway station. While cancelling the ticket, passengers must refer the mobile number provided during booking. The train tickets can be cancelled on the website of Indian Railways (IRCTC).

Any confirmed ticked can be cancelled 4 hours prior to scheduled departure. For RAC or wait-listed tickets, online cancellation facility is available upto 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Refund for tickets booked on railway ticket counters will be available only from the ticket counters. For this purpose, the cancelled train ticket must be produced at the passenger reservation system (PRS) counter of the boarding point.
