Udaipur, March 28, 2025 - The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in India have issued over 50,000 visas to Indian citizens traveling to China in 2025, as of March 17. This comes after China introduced new measures to make the visa process easier for Indian visitors. Travel between India and China was severely impacted in recent years due to pandemic restrictions and diplomatic tensions. Visas were limited, and travelers faced additional entry requirements. China resumed issuing visas for Indian students and business travelers in 2022, but general travel remained restricted. The latest visa relaxations are expected to increase tourism, business ties, and academic exchanges between the two countries.
