Udaipur, Feb 12, 2026 - A non-interlocking work is being implemented at Udaipur City railway station because of construction underway at the station to connect Platforms 9 and 10 to the Umra side. Because of this, all local trains from the city will operate from Rana Pratap Nagar railway station starting February 12 (Thursday).

The four trains that will operate from Rana Pratap Nagar Station from February 12 to 17 are:

  • Train No. 59610 from Chittorgarh to Udaipur- will arrive at 8:46 am
  • Train No. 59606 from Bari Sadri to Udaipur - will arrive at 9:06 am
  • Train No. 59607 from Udaipur to Bari Sadri - will depart at 10:58 am
  • Train No. 19606 from Udaipur to Madar - will depart at 11:28 am.

Additionally, on February 17, a complete block is expected at Udaipur station. As a result, on this day all trains scheduled to depart from Udaipur City Station will instead leave from Rana Pratap Nagar railway station. Around 20 trains will operate from this station all day on February 17.

Special arrangements have been made by railway authorities at this station which has four tracks. On February 17, two lines in the yard will be kept free. If more trains arrive, rakes may be parked at Debari, Khemli, and Umarda.

In a step to expand the rail network, Tracks 9 and 10 at Udaipur City Railway Station will be connected to the Umra line. At present, Udaipur City Railway Station has five platforms and 11 tracks. Of these, two tracks are used as pit lines, one track remains incomplete and the remaining eight tracks exist for operations. Currently, only six tracks are connected to the main line from both sides and are actively used for train movement.

Platform Number 9 is currently connected only from the Rana Pratap Nagar side, while Platform Number 10 is not connected from either side. With the proposed work, both platforms will be linked to the Umra line. Once completed, trains will be able to arrive and depart from both sides on Track Number 9, while Track Number 10 will allow trains to enter from the Umra side.

This upgrade will significantly enhance the operational capacity of Udaipur City Railway Station and ease train handling during peak hours.
