Udaipur, March 29, 2025 - Udaipur’s Lok Sabha MP, Dr. Mannalal Rawat, has urged the government to allow regular night flights and international flights from Maharana Pratap Airport. He raised this demand in the Lok Sabha on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Dr. Rawat said that Udaipur is a world-famous tourist destination. The city has a rich history, culture, and heritage. It has also become a popular global wedding destination, attracting many celebrities from India and abroad.
Currently, Udaipur Airport operates only in the morning and evening. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has not permitted night operations. Even though the airport has the required infrastructure, scheduled and private flights cannot operate at night. This causes inconvenience to thousands of passengers and tourists.
Dr. Rawat requested the government to allow night flights and special aircraft operations at Udaipur Airport. He also urged the introduction of regular international flights to make travel easier for foreign tourists.
