Derailment in Phulera-Trains delayed
Trains got delayed because of derailment at Phulera junction.
Derailment of a train at Phulera junction has resulted in delaying of certain trains. Passengers had to hire taxis to reach to their destinations.
On Wednesday afternoon, three coaches of Pooja express went off the track. This affected the trains operating to and from Udaipur on Thursday. It is being said that train schedules will be disturbed even on Friday. Some trains have been cancelled between Jaipur and Ajmer. It was reported that intercity which operates between Jaipur and Udaipur would only operate on Ajmer-Udaipur route.
As per a senior railway officer, track work at Phulera has been taken care of and the route has been opened. But since interlocking work is going on in the yard, some trains are still stuck and efforts are being made to clear them out.
Khajuraho Express and Chetak Express got delayed by 6 hours each on Thursday. Passengers were stuck because of this delay. Khajuraho express reached Udaipur at 12:15 instead of its scheduled time of 6:35 a.m. Similarly Chetak Express reached Udaipur at 1:45 p.m. instead of its usual time of 7:50a.m.
Khajuraho Express left Udaipur at 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday and had to wait for 2 hours at Phulera junction. This situation forced the passengers to hire taxis to reach Jaipur and ahead. The train was delayed by 6 hours and reached Jaipur at 12 noon instead of its usual time of 6 a.m.
