Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme destinations include Rameshwaram, Madurai, Gangasagar, Kamakhya and Ayodhya

 |

Udaipur, Nov 14, 2025 - Under the Devasthan Department’s Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, in 2025 a total of 50,000 passengers will be taken on pilgrimage by train and 6,000 passengers by air travel across the Rajasthana. For passengers of Udaipur division, the departure of trains will begin from November 29, 2025. Four trains will depart from Udaipur, while two trains will depart from Dungarpur and will pass through Udaipur.

This information was shared by Assistant Commissioner of the Devasthan Department, Jatin Gandhi.

This time, AC coaches have been added to the trains. Each train will carry 970 passengers. Each coach will have two government employees, while the train will have one gazetted officer in charge. One doctor and two nursing staff with a medical kit will also travel on board. Thus, a total of 1,000 people will travel in each train.

He further said that passengers in the main list — those who selected their preferred destination as first priority — will be given preference. If any priority passenger is unable to travel for any reason, then the opportunity will be given to those on the waiting list.
