Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Tours by Devasthan Department

4,000 people have been selected for pilgrimage through air travel and 33,931 selected for travel by rail
 
4ooo pilgrims will be  taken  to kathmandu and 34 thousand to various places of pilgrimage in India by Devasthan Rajasthan under Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Program

The Devasthan Department of Rajasthan government has released the final list of pilgrims that will be availaing a pilgrimage tour organised by the Devasthan department.  As per Vasudev Malawat, Commissioner of Devasthan, a proposal towards the program has been sent  to the Railways and once the dates are finalised, the department will also seek new applications from the senior citizens of the state.

In the main list 4,000 people have been selected for pilgrimage through air travel and 33,931 selected for travel by rail, in which 15 pilgrimage spots will be covered. The number of pilgrims selected in the main list from Mewar-Wagad belt of South Rajasthan is 7136, of which 713 will avail Air travel to Kathmandu in Nepal and the remaining 6423 pilgrims will be provided rail travel for pilgrimage spots in India. The number of applicant approved for the 2023 lottery system per district is as follows:

Additionally, the  Devasthan department has also released two waiting lists, the first one having 23,701 names (3037 Air; 20664 Rail) and the second one having 20,695 names (14421 Air; 6,274 Rail), who will get their turns as per priority.

The  list released by the Devasthan department, also lists out the  total pilgrimage points that will be covered  in the program in the first phase.

Accordingly, 4,000 pilgrims have been selected for Air travel to Kathmandu, to be followed by 3037 in the waiting list and 14421 in the additional waiting list. The 33,931 pilgrims selected in the Main List for Rail travel will visit the  following places:
