Udaipur, January 9, 2025 - Israel has introduced a digital e-visa system for Indian travellers, effective from January 1, 2025. This service is currently available for Indian citizens with domestic residency.
The e-visa system simplifies the application process, allowing travellers to apply anytime and from anywhere. It requires fewer documents and offers faster processing. The e-visa is specifically for individual tourists, while group visa applications will continue through the existing channels.
Travellers can access the e-visa platform on the official government portal: https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/learn-about-evisa-b2/. The website provides detailed guidance on the application process, required documents, and fees. The visa costs NIS 100 (around Rs 2,367) and will be processed within 10 days.
Passport: A copy of your passport valid until the departure date.
Visa Copies: Existing or expired visa copies (optional).
Passport Photo: Latest passport-sized photo.
Round-Trip Tickets: Proof of confirmed flight reservations.
Health Insurance: Travel health insurance covering your stay.
Accommodation Proof: Hotel booking or invitation letter from a host in Israel.
Proof of Funds: Bank statements or financial documents showing sufficient funds.
Tourism Data
Indian tourism to Israel has been steadily recovering since the pandemic. In 2018, a record 70,800 Indian tourists visited Israel. The number dropped during the pandemic but increased to 41,800 in 2023. From January to October 2024, 8,500 Indians travelled to Israel.
