November 27,2024 - Dubai has introduced stricter rules for tourist visas to make the process faster and more secure. Travelers now need to provide proof of hotel bookings and return flight tickets when applying for a tourist visa.

What You Need for a Tourist Visa?

Hotel Booking

1. Must be confirmed using a QR code. 
2. If staying with friends or family, you may need to show their residency documents.

Return Flight Ticket

1. Must be a confirmed ticket. Open or one-way tickets will lead to rejection.

These documents must be submitted online through the Emigration Department's portal. Tourist visas can only be applied for through approved travel agencies, while visit visas can be applied for by individuals or companies.

Financial Proof Requirement

• 5,000 Dirhams for a two-month visa.
• 3,000 Dirhams for a three-month visa.

Currently, these rules apply to citizens of Pakistan and several African countries, but it’s unclear if UAE residents sponsoring family visas must follow the same rules.

Visa Options for Indian Travelers

• Visa-on-Arrival- Valid for 14 days (extendable by another 14 days). Available for Indians with valid US, UK, or EU visas or residency permits.

• 60-Day Visa- Ideal for longer stays, but not extendable.

• 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visa - Encourages frequent travel for work or leisure.
