On February 8, 2024, the "Pedal to Jungle" initiative will commence, bringing together the Forest Department, Green People Society, Tourism Department and a resort. The primary goal is to boost eco-tourism. This marks the seventh occurrence of the event within Udaipur. This Monday, December 25, 2023, Dr. Lakhshyaraj Singh Mewar from the former royal family officially inaugurated the 7th edition of "Pedal to Jungle." The event witnessed the presence of notable figures.
Rahul Bhatnagar, the Chief Conservator of Forests, has shared details about an extraordinary campaign set to unfold over three nights and four days. Engaging participants from diverse cities, including Rajasthan, the event will involve a selected group embarking on a 170-kilometer journey through nature trails in Banswara district—all on bicycles.
The collaboration among these entities highlights a concerted effort to encourage sustainable tourism practices and appreciation for the environment. By promoting such initiatives, the organizers aim to create awareness about the significance of preserving our natural resources.
