On Monday, December 25,2023, the electrification inspection of the Udaipur-Dungarpur railway line was successfully concluded. The CRS (Commissioner of Railway Safety), RK Sharma, along with his team, arrived in Dungarpur via the Asarwa Express at 10:00 AM to carry out the inspection of the new electrification work. During the morning, they conducted a thorough inspection of the railway line between Dungarpur and Udaipur. Following the inspection, CRS RK Sharma engaged in discussions with officials associated with the electrification project.
The electrification process has been successfully finished for a 100-kilometer stretch between Udaipur and Dungarpur. However, the electrification work for the 190-kilometer distance from Dungarpur to Asarwa is still in progress and has not been completed yet.
Significantly, the electrification project between Dungarpur and Asarwa is advancing swiftly. The objective is to finish electrification along the Udaipur to Asarwa route, spanning 299 kilometers, by 2024. The ultimate goal is to run trains with electric engines on this route once the electrification work is successfully concluded.
The completion of this inspection marks a significant step in ensuring the safety and functionality of the electrified Udaipur-Dungarpur railway line. The collaborative efforts of the inspection team and project officials contribute to the successful implementation of the electrification initiative in the region.
