Facelift for Fatehnagar Railway Station Under Amrit Station Program

Udaipur, Sept 20, 2025: The redevelopment of Fatehnagar Railway Station in Udaipur district (Ajmer Division, North Western Railway) is progressing rapidly under the Amrit Station Scheme of the Government of India. The project, with a total investment of ₹18.85 crore, is scheduled for completion by March 31, 2026. At present, more than half of the construction work has already been completed.
Key Highlights of the Redevelopment Project

- New Station Building: Spread across 983 sq. meters, the new station building is being developed at a cost of ₹12.54 crore.
- Foot Overbridge: Major structural work, including footings and columns, has been completed.
- Platform Shelters: Covering 684 sq. meters, shelters have been fully constructed.
- Platform Surfacing: Work completed for 7,718 sq. meters of platform area.
- Waiting Hall: A 115 sq. meter hall is in finishing stages.
- Passenger Facilities:
- Public announcement system installed
- Circulating area of 7,938 sq. meters under development
- Parking zone spread across 2,619 sq. meters
- Standard ramps for accessibility in progress
- Dedicated parking and low-height ticket booths for differently-abled passengers
- Handicap-friendly toilets and water booths under construction

Official Statement
According to Ashok Chauhan, Chief Public Relations Officer of Ajmer Division, the project is being executed in coordination with the engineering and allied departments under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mr. Raju Bhutada.
