Direct flight from Udaipur to Bangalore took off on Thursday from Udaipur airport. The Indigo aircraft took off at 1800 hours for Bangalore with 128 passengers. Duration of this flight is mere 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Earlier, going to Bangalore by flight was a tedious task. Taking flights from Mumbai or Delhi to Bangalore was not only expensive but also time consuming. Udaipur public is now very conveniently connected to Bangalore by this new flight which takes lesser time. The introduction of this flight is likely to add new dimensions to Udaipur tourism.

As far as the fare is concerned, flight to Bangalore used to create a dent both time wise and money wise. A person had to shell out upto 10,000 rupees for a flight ticket to Bangalore but now the ticket is priced at around 5,000 rupees.

It is also reported that two other flights to Surat and Varanasi will start by 30^th November. There will also be one more flight for Bangalore which will leave Bangalore at 1815 hours and reach Udaipur at 2025 hours. This flight of Spice Jet will leave Udaipur at 2055 hours and land in Bangalore at 2305 hours.
