First ever “Paddle to Jungle” to be held in Udaipur from Feb 16-18

Forest department along with Le Tour De India is organising a 3 day 2 night "Paddle to Jungle" from Feb 16 to Feb 18, 2018. This will the first such initiative to be held in Aravali.

 
First ever “Paddle to Jungle” to be held in Udaipur from Feb 16-18

Forest department along with Le Tour De India is organising a 3 day 2 night “Paddle to Jungle” from Feb 16 to Feb 18, 2018. This will the first such initiative to be held in Aravali.

Rahul Bhatnagar, Chief Forest Conservator, informed that the event will start at 7:30am from Baghdara Nature Park. 30 cyclists selected from Delhi, Jaipur and Udaipur will participate in the event.

The cyclists will ride special cycles for the 3 day event and will cover a distance of 170kms along natural path in the jungles. Enroute the journey, the cyclists will pass through Jagat Mandir, Jaisamand Lake, Sitamata sanctuary amongst other attractions in the jungle.

Bhatnagar said that the objective of this event is to spread awareness about eco-tourism and to provide avenue for improving livelihood opportunities for forest conservation volunteers.
