This Season's First Palace on Wheels Journey
The 7 night/8 day journey of the Palace on Wheels begins every Wednesday from Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi
UdaipurTimes, Sept 14, 2026 - The first Palace on Wheels tour of the season in Rajasthan began with the luxury train arriving at the Jaisalmer Railway Station on Sunday, September 13. A total of 77 tourists travelled on the train during its first trip. They included 66 Indian tourists, seven from the United States, two from Australia and two from England.
The 7 night/8 day journey of the Palace on Wheels begins every Wednesday from Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi. The itinerary covers Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur and Agra.
The famous heritage train is operated by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and the Indian Railways. It has attractive onboard amenities including two fine-dining restaurants, Ayurvedic spa facility, a fully-stocked bar and lounge and Wi-Fi.
