Spice Jet has extended the period of operation for flights to Jaipur and Ahmedabad from Udaipur. Initially these flights were to operate until 30^th June, but assessing the demand of passengers and the traffic from Udaipur on these sectors the flights have been extended until 31^st July. Spice Jet operates on Jaipur and Ahmedabad sectors from Monday to Saturday.

It may be noted that the tariff for Jaipur sector will remain as is but that of Ahmedabad sector will increase from the 1^st of July by 600 rupees. As per the Airport Director, the flight schedules may be extended until August depending upon demand and traffic for Ahmedabad and Jaipur. Passengers from Udaipur usually take international flights from Ahmedabad as Ahmedabad airport is the nearest international airport. Earlier when there were no flights for Ahmedabad, public used to travel by road. The flight from Udaipur to Ahmedabad saves on time and money, both.
