Udaipur, January 31, 2025 - In response to the rising demand during Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, Air India and IndiGo have expanded their flight operations to Prayagraj and Varanasi.
Air India’s New Flights
Air India has added a second daily flight between Delhi and Prayagraj from February 1 to February 28, 2025. The airline also launched daily flights between Mumbai and Prayagraj on January 28, which will continue until February 28. With these additions, Air India will now operate 21 flights per week to Prayagraj.
Air India is also expanding flights to Varanasi. A new daily direct flight between Delhi and Varanasi will start on February 5, 2025. Additionally, the Bengaluru-Varanasi route will have 30 extra flights in February and March.
IndiGo’s Expanded Connectivity
IndiGo has increased flights and seat capacity to Prayagraj. The airline will now connect Prayagraj to 10 cities, including Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Jaipur. This is in addition to existing routes from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Raipur, and Bhubaneswar.

Tickets for these flights are now available on airline websites, mobile apps, and through travel agents.
