There has been no communication from UAE's Civil Aviation Authority regarding flights between the two countries.
Airlines in India opened bookings for India to Dubai but now the flights are very likely to be delayed in the absence of communication.
Flights between India and Dubai were suspended when the 2nd wave of Corona virus started spreading in India in April’21. Since the number of covid cases has declined to a great extent, it was being expected that the flights from India to Dubai will begin by 15th July.
Dubai is one of the extremely popular destinations for both business and leisure trips. There has been a huge demand to restart flights between the two countries. Dubai initially allowed residents to return back to the country, allowing Emirates to book flights.
Following this, airlines in India also opened bookings on India-Dubai route. It has been informed that the tickets for Economy and First class in Emirates have already been sold out.
A latest report says that the airlines in India are not confident about starting flight operations as the UAE’s Civil Aviation Authority has not provided any confirmation to airlines in India regarding this. An official from Emirates said that the flight bookings were open based on assumptions that Emirates cancelled flights only till July 15 and this pushed airline companies to open bookings for flights to Dubai. The flights are likely to get delayed as official confirmation is still awaited by the airlines in India.
