The Goan Ministry intends to keep everyone in Goa absolutely safe, hence the need of double vaccination for all.
However, the government's decision about tourism will be given priority .
The Tourism Minister of Goa said that Goa would open doors for tourists who have received both the shots of vaccination. Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar also said that first of all it will be ensured that everyone in Goa has received both the doses of vaccination.
The Minister for Tourism said, “My personal opinion is that once the vaccination double dose is completed, we should start inviting tourists who have taken both vaccines. We should keep Goa as well as tourists safe”.
He also added that the decision of government regarding tourism activity would be respected.
It may be noted that Goa was one of the last states in western India to make testing mandatory for inbound tourists after the Bombay High court in Goa directed the state authorities for doing so in the wake of increasing covid cases.
