November 22, 2024 - The Golden Chariot luxury tourist train, a premier luxury train of Indian Railways and IRCTC, is set to roll on the tracks again from December 14 this year. This train will have 40 cabins which can accommodate up to 80 passengers. There will be 13 double-bed cabins, 26 twin-bed cabins and one cabin specially designed for differently-abled guests.
Golden Chariot showcases Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage and is designed to provide a regal and luxurious experience comparable to a seven-star hotel. All cabins will be air conditioned with WiFi. Plush furniture and bathrooms, comfortable beds and premium television service will mark the luxury on this train.
There will be two restaurants on the train - Ruchi and Nalapaka - and food served here will be both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. A delectable range of Indian and international cuisines will be served on premium crockery and cutlery. For those looking to unwind, the onboard bar will stock a wide range of premium wines, beers and spirits.
A high-tech gym, an exclusive salon and Arogya Spa will allow passengers to groom themselves and indulge in spa therapies. The entire train will be fitted with CCTV cameras and fire alarm systems.
