UdaipurTimes, Oct 2, 2026 - Gujarat’s Water Resources Minister CR Patil flagged off the Surat–Udaipur Vande Bharat Express at a ceremony held in Surat, Gujarat, today, October 2, 2026.

The Surat flag-off ceremony was attended by MP Mukesh Dalal, MLAs Sangeeta Patil, Pravinbhai Ghoghari and Kantibhai Balar; Surat Mayor Mayaben Mavani as well as other dignitaries. Pankaj Singh, Divisional Railway Manager of the Mumbai Central Division, along with senior railway officials, was also present.

Following the inaugural special train, regular service of the eight-coach modern Vande Bharat Express will be introduced from October 3. Train No. 26904 Udaipur–Surat Vande Bharat Express will depart from Udaipur on October 3 at 3:35 pm and reach Surat at 11:00 pm. On October 4, Train No. 26903 Surat–Udaipur Vande Bharat Express will depart from Surat at 6:10 am and arrive in Udaipur at 1:40 pm.

The train will operate six days a week, except Tuesdays. In both directions, the train will stop at Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Maninagar, Asarva, Himmatnagar, Shamlaji Road, Dungarpur and Zawar stations.
