Indian Railways has made significant changes in the past days. Several new changes have been launched by the Railways regarding senior citizens, women and differently abled passengers. In the recent rules, the facility of Baby Berth was started as a trial on the train. After the modification, a new design (Baby Berth New Design) has been introduced. The new design is safer and more comfortable than the previous one. 

We all know that travelling with infants in trains is a challenging task. Keeping in mind the needs, IRCTC’s new Baby Berth facility will make it easier for the passengers travelling with kids. The second trial will begin soon and after the trial, new baby berth seats will be available in the trains. 

Earlier, when the Baby Berth in 2022 was introduced, certain issues were there about not having enough space for the woman and child during the train ride. The baby berth was open towards the normal seats, due to which there was danger of injury to the child or falling of luggage.

The new baby berth is designed in such a manner that it is covered from above. It will be even more convenient for the mother to feed her child.
