IndiGo airline has introduced a new feature allowing female passengers to view which seats have already been reserved by other female passengers during the web check-in process. Before rolling out this feature, the airline conducted market research to ensure it could better accommodate the preferences of its female passengers. 

The feature permits passengers to view seats reserved solely by female travellers during the web check-in process. This feature gives female passegers, particularly those flying alone, the option to choose a seat next to another female passenger, which enhances both safety and comfort. The airline revealed that this feature, currently in its trial phase, is customized for PNRs with female passengers, whether they are traveling alone or as part of family bookings.
