Intercity train reaches Udaipur at 9:30 p.m. but on Wednesday it arrived 2 hours late. The reason behind the delay is engine failure which occurred near Adarsh nagar railway station at Ajmer. 

Due to the failure of engine, the passengers who were to board the train at Udaipur had to wait for 2 hours at the railway station. The winter season made it even more difficult for the passengers to spend time at the railway station.

A new engine was called for from Ajmer. The repair work took 2 hours and all the stations of this route suffered due to the delay.

It may be noted that the Intercity train is an express train service and connects major railway junctions and the capitals of the states.
