Jazeera and Indigo will land their first international flights from Kuwait at Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok on 3 July. This will be the first set of flights from overseas landing at Udaipur airport under the normal course of operations and will bring in those non resident Indians from Kuwait, who belong to Udaipur and nearby towns.
District Collector Anandi has alloted responsibilities across officers from the district administration to ensure that proper testing of passengers arriving at the airport is ensured. Subsequent transfer to institutional quarantine centers and all related protocol will also be ensured.
Internal arrangements at the airport will be the responsibility of Mavli SDO Ramesh Sirvi and external arrangements are under the purview of Vallabhnagar SDO Shailesh Surana. Drinking water arrangement at the airport will be taken cared of by SDO Jyoti Kakwani.
Deputy Director Tourism, Shikha Saxena will be responsible to ensure that (paid) quarantine facilities are ready for the passengers, with all safety and sanitization arrangements in place.
CMHO Udaipur, Dr Dinesh Kharadi will be responsible for the testing of the passengers arriving at the airport and arrangements for bus services across the district and beyond will be the responsibility of Chief Manager Roadways, Mahesh Upadhyay.
ADM (administration) OP Bunkar will be the nodal officer as well as District Quarantine Officer. Protocol officer Mahavir Kharadi has been given the overall responsibility at the airport and Nandita Bhatt, Director of Maharana Pratap Airport, Dabok, will ensure checking of permissions of passengers and those entering the airport as well as all arrangements within the airport premises.
