Jaipur Gets Rs 32-Cr Coach Care Facility for Vande Bharat Trains
Project completed in just two years, features OHE-compatible shed; Rail Minister to inspect redevelopment at key stations
Sept 9, 2025 - A Coach Care Complex has been set up at Jaipur Junction Yard at a cost of Rs 32 crore, making it possible to carry out the maintenance and upkeep of premium trains like Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat in Jaipur itself.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate the facility on Thursday, September 11, according to Indian Railways officials. After that, he will inspect ongoing redevelopment work at Jaipur Junction building, Second Entry and Gandhinagar station.
The depot shed is 554.5 metres long and 18.91 metres wide. It has been specially designed to support overhead equipment (OHE).
This was a Brownfield project, built over existing infrastructure that included three pit lines underneath and a stabling line on the side. The entire project was completed in just two years, with work finishing on August 30.
