Rains seem to have subsided however, with Jaisamand being a recipient of water overflow from 9 lakes and 99 canals, it is expected that in another 2-3 days Jaisamand will reach the 8.3meter mark, ready for it to overflow.

It was the first time in 1973 that Jaisamand witnessed overflow, when the water levels reached the highest level of the dam built across the lake.  This caused distress in the nearby villages and the dam levels were rectified to mitigate the damage any overflow could cause.

Warning: Ensure that whenever a visit to the lake is made, life jackets are a must for the boat ride.  Do not encourage others to sit for the boat ride without wearing a life jacket.
