In order to serve the increased travel demand, Indian Railways is offering weekly special train services on the routes between Jammu Tawi and Udaipur City and between Mysuru and Ajmer, to better serve passengers and improve convenience.
1. Train number 04656/04655, the Jammu Tawi-Udaipur City-Jammu Tawi Garib Rath weekly special
Train number 04656, Special Garib Rath operating weekly between Jammu Tawi and Udaipur City, will be running from its new schedule from 25 April till 27 June and will comprise of 10 trips. The train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 05:20hrs every Thursday, arrive at Ajmer station the following day at 01:15hrs, depart at 01:25hrs and arrive at Udaipur City at 07:30hrs.
Train number 04655, Special Garib Rath service running between Udaipur City and Jammu Tawi, will operate from 23 Apri lto 28 June with a total of 10 trips scheduled. Departing from Udaipur City at 13:45hrs every Friday, the train will reache Ajmer at 19:35hrs, depart at 19:45hrs, and arrive at Jammu Tawi at 15:10hrs the following day.
Ajmer Divisional Railway Manager Ashok Chauhan indicated that this train will stop at several stations during its journey, including Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Dhuri, Jakhal, Hisar, Bhiwani, Rewari, Alwar, Bandikui, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Nasirabad, Bijainagar, Bhilwara, Mandal, Chanderiya, Mavli, and Ranapratapnagar. This train service will consist of 13 coaches,, comprising 11 coaches classified as Garib Rath and 2 power cars.
2. Train number 06281/06282, the weekly special service between Mysuru and Ajmer
Train number 06281, a special weekly train service operating between Mysuru and Ajmer, will be active from 13 April till 18 May and comprise a total of 6 trips. Departing from Mysuru at 10:00hrs on Saturdays, the train arrives in Ajmer at 04:00hrs on Mondays.
Train number 06282, a special weekly train service operating between Ajmer and Mysuru, will run from 16 April to 21 May covering 6 trips. It departs from Ajmer at 20:10hrs on Tuesdays and arrives in Mysuru at 16:40hrs on Thursdays.
Ajmer Divisional Railway Manager Ashok Chauhan mentioned that this train will stop at multiple stations including Mandya, Bengaluru, Yesvantpur, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Chikjajur, Davanagere, Harihar, Haveri, Hubballi (Hubli,), Dharwad, Belagavi, Miraj, Sangli, Pune, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch, and Chittorgarh during its route. The train will have a total of 20 coaches, including 2 coaches for Second AC, 3 coaches for Third AC, 12 coaches for Sleeper class, 1 coach for General class, and 2 Guard's vans.
