Khemli–Morbi Container Train Service Launched
CONCOR launches container rail service from Khemli depot near Udaipur to Morbi, Gujarat; train will benefit Mewar traders with faster and cheaper logistics
Udaipur, March 6, 2026 – Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has started a container rail service from the Khemli Container Depot to Morbi in Gujarat. The first container rake of this service departed from the Khemli depot on February 28 and reached the Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal located at Rafaleshwar in Morbi after about 28 hours.
This new service will benefit industrialists and traders from the Mewar region. Through this train service, essential raw materials for Morbi’s ceramic and tiles industry — especially feldspar and minerals from Mewar — can now be transported easily by rail to the large ceramic manufacturing hub in Morbi.
The train will also provide several additional advantages to industries and traders in the Mewar region, including cost-effective bulk transportation, stronger supply chains, and reduced transportation time through rail-based logistics.
