Lake City gears up for Lake Festival | Complete Schedule

Udaipur is all set to play host to the second edition of the Lake Festival. The three day event will include Musical programs, bird watching, adventure sports, jungle safari, light and sound shows, art fair amongst other things.

The colourful festival is being organised by Tourism Department Rajasthan, District Administration, Udaipur Municipal Corporation and UIT. The complete schedule of the programme is as follows:

18th November 2016 (Fatehsagar Pal)

  • 11:00 am: Opening Ceremony
  • 11:00 am: Inauguration of National Championship of Dragon Boat Kayaking and Canoeing and Canoe Polo
  • 12:00 noon Flagging off MJSA Road Show
  • 7 pm to 10 pm : Jaipur Beats Band – Live in Concert
  • Venue: Fatehsagar Pal

18th Nov – 20th November 2016 (Fatehsagar Pal)

  • 9am to 6 pm: National Championship of Dragon Boat Kayaking and Canoeing and Canoe Polo
  • 5pm – 6pm : Army and Police Band Display
  • 4pm – 9pm : Kite flying, stilt walkers, puppeteers and much more
  • 11 am – 7pm : Exhibition on Lake Conservation
  • Painting and Quiz Competition for school children

18th Nov – 20th November 2016 (Multiple locations)

  • 11:00 am – 7pm : Art Camp and Art Fair (Rajeev Gandhi Garden)
  • 4 pm – 6 pm : Performance by local artists (Gangaur Ghat)
  • 6 pm – 7 pm : Folk performances of Rajasthan (Gangaur Ghat)

19th November 2016 (Fatehsagar Pal)

  • 7 pm to 10 pm : Nitin Mukesh – Live in Concert
  • 9:00 pm : Marathon – Udaipur by Night

20th November 2016 (Fatehsagar Pal)

  • 7 pm to 10 pm : Pankaj Udhas – Live in Concert
  • 9:00 pm : Cyclothon – Udaipur by Night

Besides the above programmes, Forest department has organised a bird watching session at Sanjay Gandhi park, Rani road from 6:30 am to 8:30 am on 18-19 Nov. 50 people will be entertained for the bird watching programme and this will be free of cost. A half day eco-tour will also be organised by the forest department on the occasion. Per head fees for the eco-tour has been kept at Rs 300 and the tour will start from Mohta park.

A light and sound show has also been planned at 7:30pm on 19-Nov at Gangaur ghat. The show will play out a symphony between light, sound, water and neighbouring architecture.
