Maldives will restart issuing of on-arrival tourist visa starting July 15.

Amidst all the negativity and the prolonged depressiveness, the thought of a good vacation in that small corner of the heart is likely to be bear fruits as Maldives reopens its doors for all South Asians from July 15.

Maldives’ Ministry of Tourism is all set to open up entry for Indians, however the situation will be reviewed between 1st to 15th July n the wake of the pandemic.

The Male Tourism Ministry announced that its only prerequisite will be to have a negative RT-PCR report. The country will restart issuing on on-arrival tourist visa starting 15th July. The tour operators have started inviting tourists from India through tweets calling it a “Trip to Adventure”.

It may be noted that Maldives depends on tourism for its economy and was waiting for the situation to ease so that business could be restarted. Details of the process of application, means and methods to travel to the Maldives are awaited from the foreign ministry.

Switzerland has already allowed the entry for fully vaccinated people without any quarantine period. With Maldives also on the travel list, people can rejoice as they have the opportunity to visit 2 beautiful countries after a long time.
