The mercury has started dipping and Udaipur has been the coldest among its contemporaries in Rajasthan, with the minimum touching to 15.2°C.

As per reports of the Met Department at Jaipur, active northerly winds and upper air cyclonic circulation have changed the climatic conditions.  Humidity levels have reduced and with the change in direction of the winds, temperatures are falling gradually.

Residents could feel the chill in the air especially in the early mornings as well as late evening and during the night time.  Winter though has yet to set in, as the afternoons are comparatively warmer. Hazy mornings have demanded that morning walkers and exercise enthusiasts drum up to windsheeters and jogging jackets at least.

The waters of Fatehsagar are pristine, calm and expected to get cleaner during the winters.  High time for tourists to flock the city.

Udaipur at 15.2°C was followed by Churu at 16.5°, Kota at 17.9°, Sriganganagar at 18°, Ajmer at 18.5°, Jodhpur at 19.5°C, Barmer at 21.2°C, Bikaner at 21.4°C and Jaisalmer at 21.6°C.
