Rajasthan Roadways administration will soon launch new AC buses on the Udaipur-Jaipur and Jaipur-Delhi routes. These buses may not have the same luxury features as the existing super-luxury buses, but they will still provide air-conditioned travel to passengers.

Affordable Fares for New Buses

The fare for these new AC buses will be kept relatively low. Eight buses will operate on the Jaipur-Delhi route, and two will be introduced on the Jaipur-Udaipur route. A senior official mentioned that the popularity of Rajasthan Roadways' Volvo buses on the Jaipur-Delhi route has decreased.

Drop in Passenger Load

Due to the rise of convenient trains like Double Decker and Vande Bharat, along with competitive airfares, the passenger load on super-luxury buses to Delhi has dropped by 49%. To counter this, the Roadways administration has decided to revive the service by reducing fares for existing super-luxury buses by up to Rs 100/-.

New Buses to Arrive Soon

The new buses are expected to arrive this week and will be deployed on the Delhi route soon. Though these buses may not have the high-end features of Volvo or Scania, the 2x2 AC buses are expected to offer passengers a comfortable and affordable journey.
