Udaipur, December 28, 2024 - A new railway timetable will come into effect from January 1, 2025, according to Captain Shashi Kiran, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North-Western Railway. Several trains have been converted into Superfast trains, and some train numbers have been changed.

Additionally, there have been partial changes in some train timings.

Udaipur City-Asarwa-Udaipur City

From January 1, 2025, the Udaipur City-Asarwa Express will become a Superfast train, resulting in reduced travel time but an increase in fare.

• Train number 19703 Udaipur City-Asarwa Express, will now operate as 20987 Udaipur City-Asarwa Superfast Express. The train will depart from Udaipur at 4:05 pm and reach Asarwa at 9:30 pm after a five-hour and 25-minute journey. Currently, this train departs at 5:55 pm and reaches Asarwa at 10:35 pm. Hence, travel time will be reduced by 15 minutes.
• Train number 19704 Asarwa-Udaipur City Express, will now operate as 20988 Asarwa-Udaipur City Superfast Express from January 1. It will depart from Asarwa at 6:50 am and reach Udaipur at 12:20 pm, saving 20 minutes compared to the current schedule.

New fare for Udaipur City-Asarwa-Udaipur City

• Sleeper class fare will rise from Rs 205 to Rs 235
• Chair car fare from Rs 445 to Rs 495
• Third AC fare from Rs 505 to Rs 555

Increased Train Speeds, Time Saved

The following trains will save 10 minutes with an increase in speed:

• 09544 Chittorgarh-Asarwa
• 19606 Udaipur City-Madar

The following train will save five minutes with an increase in speed:

• 19327 Ratlam-Udaipur

Special Trains to Regular Services

• 09601/09602 Udaipur-Chittorgarh-Udaipur Special will now operate as regular train numbers 59609/59610 Udaipur-Chittorgarh-Udaipur.
• 09611/09612 Udaipur-Badi Sadri-Udaipur Special will now operate as regular train numbers 59605/59606 Udaipur-Badi Sadri-Udaipur.
• 09613/09614 Udaipur-Badi Sadri-Udaipur Special will now operate as regular train numbers 59607/59608 Udaipur-Badi Sadri-Udaipur.
• 09695/09696, Marwar Junction-Khamli Ghat-Marwar Junction Special will now operate as regular train numbers 52075/52076 Marwar Junction-Khamli Ghat-Marwar Junction.

The Railways had previously made changes to the schedule on October 1, 2023, and the next change was scheduled for October 1, 2024, but it was postponed until December 31, 2023.
