RT-PCR report MUST have QR code for passengers flying out of India

The covid testing labs have now started providing QR codes on the reports after there were cases of people editing the report for showing negative result.

The airline operators have been asked to accept passengers who carry reports with QR code and not otherwise for boarding the flight.

RT-PCR report MUST have QR code for passengers flying out of India. The directive came into effect from today 22nd May. It has been enforced so that no passenger can edit the RT-PCR report to show negative result while boarding international flight.

The airline operators have been instructed by the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation to check the QR code before allowing a passenger to board the flight.

International airlines were advised to make necessary arrangements. It is now mandatory for the passengers to carry negative RT-PCR report as per the guidelines issued by the respective destination countries.

Many Covid-19 testing labs are now providing QR code on the reports so that people cannot fiddle with the results on the report.
