NWR Launches High-Tech Ticket Booking System

Udaipur, Aug 11, 2025 - Adding a new technological dimension to passenger services, North Western Railway has upgraded its ticket booking system by launching the New-Age Passenger Reservation System (PRS). This hi-tech system will not only make the booking process faster and more transparent, but also enable passengers to receive key information instantly at the ticket counters.

According to railway officials, this system is a modern version of the traditional reservation system. The initiative began last year, and training was provided at the zonal level to staff across the country. It is now being implemented in a phased manner.

The system has already been installed at 224 ticket counters across the four divisions of North Western Railway — including 50 counters in Jaipur division, 72 in Bikaner and 46 in Ajmer.
