The Indian Railways announced that the Public Reservation System (PRS) at IRCTC will be down between 11:30pm till 5:30am between the midnight of 14 November till midnight of 21 November.
This is a planned maintenance designed to make the necessary changes and bring back the Railway system in sync with the pre-Covid period in a phased manner. The Ministry of Railways gave this information on 14 November informing that the planned system maintenance will be done for 7 days. From 21 November, the system will be back to its normal working hours.
The Ministry in its statement on Sunday 14 November said that some changes are to be done in the Public Reservation System, in order to bring Train travel services in line with the pre-COVID lockdown. Apart from Train ticket reservations, user will nto be able to access other services on the portal as well - these include enquiry serves apart from other options. Apart from the PRS, other services will continue to function normally.
