Udaipur was rated by travellers as India’s best tourist destination and Rajasthan topped the best state for tourism. The results emerged from and Online Survey conducted by Outlook Traveller magazine.

A unique blend of nature, culture and heritage, Udaipur has become the prime choice of tourism amongst the travellers. Sumita Saroch, Dept. Director of Tourism Department said that the world class ameneties in Udaipur attract not only domestic but international tourists to the city.

City is get go get even more attractive under the Smart City plan. The heritage look to be provided within the walled city is expected to draw a lot of international tourism. Going cable-less is expected to take out the minor blot that currently exists in the old city area.

Measures for lake conservation and lake beautification are also expected to help Udaipur remain the top draw for tourists from all over the world
