One of the most frequented picnic spots around Udaipur, Bagheri-ka-Naka (Bagheri Dam) is set to overflow by tomorrow morning. As per last update the dam was only about 8 inches away from overflow and the overflow should happen hopefully by end of day today.

With the continuous rainfall over past few days, there has been a good water flow from the catchment into the Bagheri dam. Banas river that feeds into Bagheri dam has seen a good flow and this has resulted in the rising water level. After the water overflows, it will then move towards filling up Nandsamand.

This year the rains have been roughly half of what it was last year in the region. Hence, water flowing from here is yet to reach Rajsamand lake.

With the Bagheri dam set to overflow late tonight, tomorrow could see a huge picnic rush from the city towards the dam.
