"I am very thankful to the Prime Minister and Finance Minister for supporting the growth of railways. The capital expenditure for railways is huge, 2.52 lakh crore GBS and this is something which was really needed," Vaishnaw said.
Vaishnaw informed that work is underway to develop high-speed bullet train lines across the country. So far, 340 kilometres of track have been completed. The target is to develop 7,000 kilometres of bullet train lines by the year 2047.
