Udaipur, March 13, 2025 - The Jaipur division of North Western Railways (NWR) is set to introduce rail coach restaurants at multiple railway stations. These restaurants will be created by repurposing retired train coaches and will serve food 24 hours a day. A food truck chowpatty will be set up at Jaipur railway station near the passenger reservation system (PRS) counter. This will serve a variety of food items not just for passengers but also for visitors.  

The repurposed train coaches will be fully air-conditioned and designed like a moving train experience. Each coach will accommodate 60 to 64 people at a time, providing a comfortable dining space.  

Rail Coach Restaurants at Multiple Stations

Apart from Jaipur, rail coach restaurants will be established at Dausa, Ringas, Khatipura, Durgapura, Getor Jagatpura, and Sikar. These will offer passengers and local visitors a unique dining experience inside old railway coaches.  

The tender process is complete, and coaches have already reached Khatipura and Durgapura. The restaurants are expected to start operations in the coming months.
