Rajasthan-Chandigarh Train Route Disruption in Sept-Oct; Check Update
Owing to technical work at Chandigarh Railway Station, some train services between Rajasthan and Chandigarh will be partially cancelled
Udaipur, Sept 3, 2026 - Owing to technical work at Chandigarh Railway Station, some train services operating between Rajasthan and Chandigarh will be partially cancelled in September and October 2026.
According to Amit Sudarshan, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the impacted services are:
Train No: 20989 Udaipur City – Chandigarh: On September 23, 26 and 30, and October 3, 7, 10 and 14, this train will operate only up to Ambala. The Ambala–Chandigarh section will remain cancelled.
Train No: 20990 Chandigarh – Udaipur City: On September 24 and 27, and October 1, 4, 8, 11 and 15, the train will depart from Ambala instead of Chandigarh. In other words, the Chandigarh–Ambala section will remain partially cancelled.
Train No: 12983 Ajmer – Chandigarh: On September 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27 and 29, and October 2, 4, 6, 9, 11 and 13, the train will operate only up to Ambala. The Ambala–Chandigarh section will remain cancelled.
Train No: 12984 Chandigarh – Ajmer: On September 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, and October 3, 5, 7, 10, 12 and 14, the train will depart from Ambala instead of Chandigarh.
Note: These are not complete train cancellations. Only the Ambala–Chandigarh section will be partially cancelled.
