Tourism has suffered a great deal in the pandemic era. There are various businesses related to tourism sector which are suffering heavy losses, people are unemployed, repair maintenance is difficult in the absence of finances; hotels, restaurants, cab services, cafeterias and a lot others in this direction.

Since international tourism does not seem to be a possibility in the near future, it has been decided to promote domestic tourism as the situations are somewhat comfortable and the restrictions have been eased.

Rajasthan CM Gehlot in a meeting on Monday asked the officials to prepare a roadmap so that tourism sector can be revived. He stressed on the effective marketing of key tourist destinations and festivals and fares of the state at international level.

The Tourism Policy-2020 announced by the government focuses on the promotion of night tourism, weekend tourism, adventure tourism and rural tourism which will give momentum to tourism in the state. This will also help in bringing Rajasthan tourism back on tracks.
