Call for New Rajsamand to Mumbai Rail Service
Key discussions held on new rail services, train stoppages and passenger amenities for Rajsamand parliamentary constituency
Dec 18, 2025 - Member of Parliament from Rajsamand, Mahima Kumari Mewar, paid a courtesy visit to Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, in New Delhi. On this occasion, detailed and meaningful discussions were held regarding railway-related development works and passenger amenities in the Rajsamand parliamentary constituency.
MP Mahima Kumari prominently raised issues before the Union Minister related to starting a new rail service from Rajsamand to Mumbai, ensuring halts of major trains at various railway stations in the region, and enhancing passenger facilities. She also discussed the current status of the Devgarh–Bar Haripur railway route, regarding which the Union Railway Minister shared information related to the route through photographs.
The MP said the expansion of railway connectivity and facilities is not only a long-standing demand of the people of the region, but will also provide fresh momentum to the industrial, tourism and economic development of Rajsamand.
Minister Vaishnaw assured that necessary action would be taken on these matters at the earliest.
