RTDC has begun preparations for the operation of the royal train, Palace on Wheels, for this tourist season. The first journey of the train will start on September 4, 2024. This 7-night, 8-day journey starts and ends in Delhi. During this journey, tourists will visit Udaipur, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, and Agra. 

There will be 17 trips during the four-month season. In October, there will be 5 trips, and in the other three months, there will be 4 trips each.  The first month of the season, September, and the last month, April, will be the cheapest. The fare per person will be Rs 1.10 lakh. During the peak season in December, this fare increases to Rs 1.40 lakh. 

The train's Presidential Suite is the most expensive. Its nightly fare ranges from Rs 2.67 lakh to Rs 3.23 lakh. For double occupancy, the fare per person ranges from Rs 71,000/- to Rs 91,000/-.
