Saheliyon Ki Bari

Saheliyon Ki Bari, located in the Panchwati area of Udaipur city, is one of the most popular tourist attractions. It attracts the second highest number of tourists after the City Palace. The Deputy Director of the Tourism Department Shikha Saxena, has proposed upgrading the garden's fountain. The Tourism Department has written a letter of proposal to the Superintending Engineer (SE) and the District Collector to transform the fountain at Saheliyon Ki Bari into a colourful musical fountain.

Every month, Saheliyon Ki Bari welcomes 7,000 to 10,000 tourists. During Diwali and New Year, the main road near the garden often gets jammed due to the crowd. The garden is open to visitors from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Udaipur is an international tourism destination, attracting millions of visitors every year. Installing colourful musical fountains, similar to those at Brindavana Gardens in Mysore, Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain Park, and Chandigarh's Musical Fountain, is expected to draw even more tourists.

The planned changes will benefit night tourism, offering a new attraction for tourists and potentially increasing their numbers. This, in turn, will benefit small local businesses around the area.

The Deputy Director of Tourism Department has emphasized the importance of upgrading the garden's fountains, many of which are currently broken or not functioning properly.
