This Sunday witnessed a remarkable influx of tourists at Saheliyon Ki Bari, reaching a record-breaking 9,283 visitors. Just a day prior, on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 5,120 tourists had already visited Saheliyon ki Bari. Rakesh Choudhary, Secretary of the Hotel Association South Rajasthan, highlighted that this Christmas season has witnessed a notable 15% increase in tourist numbers compared to the previous year.
Tourists are drawn to a plethora of attractions in the city, such as Shilpgram, Saheliyon Ki Bari, Sajjan Garh Palace, City Palace, Dudh Talai, Gulab Bagh, Old City, and Fateh Sagar Lake. They explore these sites from morning until evening, creating a lively atmosphere. The demand for accommodations is high, as all hotels and resorts are fully booked. This surge in holiday traffic is attributed to the festive season of Christmas. Many who couldn't visit during Diwali, owing to the stringent measures in place due to the elections, have now arrived, accompanied by their families. The city is bustling with activity and festive cheer.
Presently, a substantial 90% of hotels in the City area, encompassing Udaipur, are fully booked, a considerable surge from the typical 50% booking rate for this period. Notably, resorts and prominent hotels have a complete 100% booking rate, explaining the heightened demand during this festive season.
