Saudi Arabia has introduced several new visa options for Indian travellers. The three new types of visas namely Stopover Visa, eVisa, and Visa on Arrival aim to increase tourism under the Saudi Vision 2030. These visas are valid for those wishing to perform Umrah. There are currently 10 visa facilitation centers in India located in Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Calicut.

Stopover Visa

The Stopover Visa allows travellers to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours. This visa can be obtained up to 90 days in advance through the Saudi Airlines website.

eVisa

To apply for an eVisa, travellers must have a valid tourist or business visa from the USA, UK, or any Schengen country. Permanent residents or individuals with a valid residence visa from a GCC country, with at least three months of validity beyond the entry date into Saudi Arabia, can also apply. The eVisa can be obtained before departure through the official portal.

Visa on Arrival

The Visa on Arrival has the same criteria as the eVisa. Travelers who meet all eVisa conditions can obtain this visa upon arrival at Saudi International Airports. This option is available for valid tourist or business visa holders from the UK, USA, or Schengen countries and also for permanent residents of these countries.
